Malta's old Buses are a tourist attraction in themselves. Many of them are classic Bedfords, Thames, Leylands and AECs dating from the 1950s, '60s and '70s. They are brightly painted yellow, white and orange and have elaborate sign written names on the front and sides. Sadly, many are now being taken out of service because they are failing to meet the ecological standards demanded by the EU.

The Upper Barracca Gardens are situated near Castille Place. From these gardens you can enjoy unrivalled views across one of the world's largest and deepest natural harbours, Grand Harbour, and over to the Three Cities. The origins of the Upper Barracca gardens go back to 1661, when in effect it was a private garden of the Italian knights: whose inns of residence (auberges) are close by.

Xlendi is a village in the south west of Gozo. The name is probably derived from the word xelandion, a type of Byzantine vessel which may have anchored in the port.

Hagar Qim translates as "Standing Stones" and even though the Limestone blocks are badly eroded, the megaliths are still impressive. The largest measures 7m by 3m. When the site was excavated in 1839 seven "generously proportioned" female stauettes were uncovered: amongst them, the so called "Venus of Malta", which is currently on display in the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.

The Ggantija Temples are in Xaghra, Gozo. Very important archaeological remains can be found on Gozo. There are many megalithic ruins but the ones that deserve special attention are these megalithic temple remains at Ggantija. In Maltese, the word "Ggantija" means, "belonging to the giants". This is due to the fact that people used to believe that since the megalithic stones are so big; giants must have constructed the Temple.

The history of the town of Rabat goes back over 2000 years when it still part of the old Roman City of 'Melita'. During the the Arab occupation, the city took the name of Mdina and the part outside the gates was called Rabat, which means suburb. My Father was born in Rabat.

This is my Aunty Stella from Fgura, she's really cool. I visit her every time I go over. She is 87 now, and was introduced to The Queen when she visited Malta in 2005, in recognition of all the work she does for Charity. She also enjoys being a film extra, and has appeared in many historical productions and the film Gladiator!
